How to Find the Clit
To find the clit, start with the visible vulva landmarks. The clitoral glans usually sits near the top of the vulva where the inner labia meet, above the urethral opening and vaginal opening.
Quick anatomy order
First identify the labia. Follow the inner labia upward until they meet near the clitoral hood. The clitoral glans is usually under or just below that hooded area.
The urethral opening sits below the clitoral glans. The vaginal opening is lower than the urethral opening. Keeping those landmarks separate makes the location easier to learn.
Some people have a clearly visible glans. Others have a glans that is partly covered, tucked under the hood, or less visually obvious. That variation is normal.
Common mistakes
The clit is not the urethral opening and not the vaginal opening. It is usually above both. The hood can also be mistaken for the glans, because the hood may cover the glans.
The visible glans is only one part of the clitoris. The larger clitoral complex continues internally, which is why diagrams can help after you learn the external landmarks.
Practice path
Use the anatomy guide to learn the terms, then use the quiz to practice identifying the landmark on diagrams and educational images.
